How to get astral Ore in calamity? ›

Astral Ore can also be obtained from opening Astral Crates and feeding Novae Slag or Celestial Remains into the Extractinator once Astrum Deus is defeated. Astral Ore is immune to explosives, even after Astrum Deus is defeated. The Crystyl Crusher's beam can destroy Astral Ore before Astrum Deus is defeated.

Player-created Astral biomes are possible by placing more than 950 'Astral tiles' in an area. The following tiles count as 'Astral tiles': Astral Dirt, Astral Stone, Astral Ore, Astral Clay, and Novae Slag. Astral Grass that spawns on Astral Dirt also counts. Astral Ice biomes require at least 951 Astral Ice.

Astral Bars can also be obtained from the Astral Crate once Astrum Deus has been defeated without needing to mine Astral Ore.

Astrum Deus does not spawn on its own and can be summoned by using the Astral Beacon with a Titan Heart or Starcore in the inventory at night. Astrum Deus can be spawned even in early Hardmode with Titan Hearts, but the boss is intended to be fought after the Lunatic Cultist has been defeated.

The Astral Infection Biome itself does not spread. Once a meteor crashes into the world it infects nearby tiles, and that's it.

Astral Infection is a debuff inflicted by enemies that spawn in the Astral Infection biome and equipment themed around it. It damages both players and enemies it afflicts, as well as reducing player damage by 10%, and reducing enemy contact damage by 5%.

Astral Monolith is a Hardmode block which replaces Wood in the Astral Infection biome and can be obtained by cutting down Monoliths.

The Astral Blade is a craftable Hardmode broadsword that autoswings. It has the unique ability of increasing its damage, knockback, and critical strike chance by 125% when hitting an enemy that is above 50% of its maximum health. Hitting enemies above 50% health will also cause a visual petal-shaped explosion.

The Astrageldon Slime could be summoned at night by using the Astral Chunk. Despite being connected to the Astral Meteor biome, it could be summoned anywhere.
