Premarinated pork and jar sauce make this one-pot Stovetop Italian Pork Ziti a quick and delicious meal, perfect for any night of the week!

Stovetop Italian Pork Ziti combines two of my daughter’s favorite foods; pasta and pork. This meal is a favorite for me too because it is so quick and easy. And because I love pasta and pork too!

Another awesome thing about this dish is that it uses an entire pound of pasta so it makes 8 good-sized servings. There are only 3 of us (most nights) so we have leftovers. Kimberly, my 17-year-old, loves to eat pasta for a late night snack, so this leaves plenty for her.

She has also been known to eat pasta for breakfast and so this is perfect for that, too. It also leaves plenty for Lee and I to take to work for lunch the next day.

This meal is very affordable for one dinner and we stretch it even further by eating it for more than just one meal. Stovetop Italian Pork Ziti would be great if you have a large family or if you are feeding a crowd.

I took some help from the grocery store on this dish by buying a Smithfield Rotisserie Tenderloin at Walmart. This saves me steps when getting dinner ready and while shopping for ingredients.

My husband and I work full-time and cook dinner nearly every night of the week, so streamlining meal planning and preparation is very important to us. We choose meals that are quick to not only prepare, but that are quick to shop for. We also consider the amount of ingredients we will need and of course, the clean up.

Smithfield® has 100% fresh cuts of pork that are perfectly seasoned and marinated with all natural ingredients. With four varieties to choose from I can always find the perfect flavor combination to go with the many ways in which I use them.

The different types are:

I love sheet pan meals and these products are super for that. Other times we use them in ways that are not “traditional”.

Cutting the pork into bite sized pieces (like in this Stovetop Italian Pork Ziti) allows it to cook faster so I can get a meal on the table faster.

Some times I throw a tenderloin in the crock pot and then shred it when I get home to use in burritos, bowls, enchiladas or tacos. We also cube one up and cook it to put in salads when we want a light yet flavorful meal.

Having the pork seasoned and ready to go really saves me valuable time, at dinner time and in the morning when we are rushing around trying to get out the door on time!

Tips for making Stovetop Italian Pork Ziti:

  • Any variety of Smithfield Marinated Pork will work.
  • Use your favorite brand of jar sauce.
  • Use a Dutch oven or other large pot that has a lid.
  • Cut the pork into bite sized pieces. Leave the pieces in large chunks if you don’t have small kids, but cut them smaller if you have little ones. This will save you from having to cut their meat after you cook it.
  • You can use virtually any short cut of pasta. I chose ziti for this dish, but you could use penne, wagon wheels, shells or elbow macaroni, to name a few. The amount of water will not change.
  • When simmering this dish it is important to stir often to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom of the pot. If it sticks then you will end up tearing the pasta apart while getting it off the bottom of the pan. It will taste fine but it certainly will not look as pretty.
